All of my gear is put away but man would I love to make 1 more trip of it.....

Just take out the bare minimum that you would need for a "day trip" and go.
I am in a transitional phase, where I took out some open water tackle (for here in MA) but still have the ice gear out.

I completely agree that its not hard to get up there for a day trip even with a 2.5 hour ride. The hard part is finding a baby sitter for the 16 month old. If the ice is good next weekend, there may be a possibility for a quick trip. If not, some skeet is in order.
Just add water.
