2008 In-Fisherman Ice Fishing Guide
« on: Oct 18, 2007, 11:49 AM »
Just picked up my copy at the local book store at lunch time.  Some really great new products and some good articles this year.  Can't wait for the stores to get some of the new products in so I can see them up close.  It's time to bring on the ice as I got the itch all of a sudden.  ;D

What new products look good?
Anything new from nilsmaster or hali's?
Might be looking for some new tip ups, like the polars with the hole cover?? I have a couple of sets but its always nice to have some extras! A set is 5 in NY.

I did not see anything new from Nilsmaster or Hali.  Here is a link to the new products that I have found http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?topic=59208.0

Thanks for the heads up, just picked mine up at the local Barnes and Noble. While it sucks to live in suburbia when you want to hunt and fish, there are some advantages. Now if only this record hot Oct. would cool the heck down!

For $5.00 I would just call and order one.

I could easily run out $10-$15 of gas in the truck just going to my local Barnes and Noble or Borders.

My issue came with the new Nature Vision DVD, Iceteam Annual and Reed's catalog. Not bad for $5 IMO.

Picked mine up @ Barnes & Noble tonight.  Has anyone seen any sign of the "other" icefishing annual?

I got the other Ice fishing guide last week from my local bait and tackle store.   I would think it would be out in your area soon.

For those that get this magazine, be sure to read the article "Our Fragile Fisheries". It's something we should all try our best to help with. Well written article. We can do our part so future generations will have similar or better opportunities as we have.

The other Ice Fishing mag seems to be better on the ads than the infisherman. A lot more articles and not so much a sales pitch.

Picked up a copy of F&W Saturday, Still no In Fisherman. Started watching the videos last week. Made the trek to the new Cabelas in W. Hartford. Was pumped to see Ice stuff out already. The new girlfriend now knows I'm sick! Between yak fishing for stripers, taking the jon out trolling shiners with her and reliving great spots on the lakes as I pick up more fish...  ::)

As posted before me, it would be   "Ice Fishing   2007-2008  Early Winter"

The magazine is from F & W Outdoor Sports from Iola, WI

The magazine covers info from Maine to Canada.   Pickeral to Pike to Walleye...

As the years have gone by, I have enjoyed this Magazine a little more. The articles are not based solely on "having" certain type of equipment.  There are articles on site fishing to setting up tip ups for walleye.

I still love my in fisherman mag and it does provide info not always in the other mag.

I got it from a local hardware store and bait shop here in Rice Lake, and I have not seeen it widely distributed around our area. You might want to check on local bait shops  ???  or maybe Farm and Fleet.   I have seen them there also...

Otherwise you can call F & W Outdoor Sports @ (715) 445-2214
