Had one of the best, if not the best day perch fishing today! I couldn't keep them off my hook!

Fished with Seaweed and Bassman! Sure had a great day!!! Thanks Guys!!
These are the ones I caught! Before and after the knife!!

Yes, August I have been targeting the crappies but they just don't seem hungry yet!!! I was looking at my diary and last year I never really started hitting them till the middle of Feb. I'll get into them but in the meantime I'll catch the perch as long as their hitting!!

Steelie,The perch were caught on a private lake! But there are a lot of lakes that are fishable now! I know Lake Jean has at least 10", Lake Carey 6", Stevens Lake 6" except in the middle!

Went out tonite for about 3 hours!! Caught some nice Bullgills 8 1/2" - 9". And 2 little crappies and this Nice 13 incher!!! Was the first time out with my new Yukon! It sure was nice and toasty and had all kinds of room!!

NICE chunky crappie! Some good size gills too!
It's much better fishin from a shelter, especially at night. I've been fishin from a Fish Trap 11 for about a dozen years now & won't go out on the ice without it. In fact I'm going to take it out tonight & try for some crappies. I hope I can do as good as you have been doing on the crappies!

Preacherman, we had a great time on sat. Seaweed,dad, and I kept 71. Dad also caught a 16 in. largie on his jigging rod. It was his best ice fishing trip ever. Seaweed and I kept 15 this morning but we really did fish hard. We were playing with his showdown, and mine was ordered this afternoon. See ya tomorrow.

Fished from 3:30 PM 'till 10 PM. Not a crappie in sight! Kept seeing fish right on the bottom but all were dink perch & they kept hitting my fatheads. Only one of the perch I caught was decent, 12 in. Nothing showed up on the Vex that wasn't huggung the bottom. Back to the drawing board!

That rod August is a new Genz rod & reel I bought @ cabelas!! I like the rod but I don't care for the reel.
