If you could only bring two poles ice fishing, 1 for panfish and 1 for larger fish which would you choose? Length/brand/action? Thanks

Ticklestick ultralight for main fish shortest I can find and then medium light for walleyes

Pan Fish: St. Croix, Legend, light action spring.
Larger fish(walleye): St. Croix, Premier, 28", Medium action. Great for Perch too!
These rods I probably use 80% of the time...

Panfish - Eyeconic John Grovesnor UL 24". Reel - Frabill 261. Line - Suffix 3# orange.
Bigger fish - Jason Mitchell 28" Dead Meat with Jason Mitchell spinning reel.

That's my second rod for Crappies and Perch, great rod!
Or should I say my third rod...

I use a bunch of different rods just for the fun of it. However if I had to narrow it down to just two poles they would be the two poles that I actually use to catch 97% of the fish while jigging. Those two poles would be my custom made Thorne Bros. in 32" length and a 4" rear grip Panfish and Perch Sweetheart rods. Of course mine are matched with baitcasting reels. Honestly I actually use the Panfish Sweetheart rod over 80% of the time on my original custom prototype one. If I ever die, my final will is going to state that I be buried with my those two poles, fully rigged, and a box of spoons and jigs. ;D

My TUCR Bullwhip with a Black Betty Freefall is my go to pan fish rod.
My favorite rod for walleye and bigger prey is actually a 30" ML Scheels combo I picked up 5 or 6 years ago.

Not much for walleye around here, so give me two 28" UL Tickle Sticks for panfish.
-
Genz Pan Fish Poppers and HT Ice Blues.
-
Primarily a crappie guy, so both are going to be UL rods (but are capable of handling the occasional walleye).
I usually carry 8 rods when fishing inside, but sometimes only carry two when fishing outside.
They are almost always the same two rods...one to feel the bite, and one to watch the bite:
36” Quiverstick
36” Bullwhip

For panfish, I would go with the DH Customs Al Dente, 30in
For Walleye, I would use my TUCR Commander, 32in

my main deal is panfish and trout, and i make a lot of my own rods, so brand doesn't matter much to me.
so for my first rod, i'm gonna prefer an ultra-light; at least 28 inches long, extra fast action, with a minimum of 6 light wire line guides (recoil guides if possible) more if it's a longer rod. i'm also gonna want a shorter handle. this rod will handle jigs, lightweight spoons, and micro jigging lures.
my second rod is gonna be a 32 inch (or longer) medium action rod with a moderate-fast action and a minimum of 7 guides. for this one i'm gonna want a slightly longer handle so i can set it in a rod holder when i'm not using it for active jigging. this rod should do well with spoons, larger jigging lures, and deadstick rigs.

TUCR Precision Noodle 32"
Gloomis IMX 331XF/TUCR Bullwhip 32".
-
Both of mine would be fenwick ice tech gen 1 rods. UL for trout and smaller, then the MH for the pike.
-
Doesnt matter to me.i can bring one rod and get it done.plain ht ice blue mostly with a shimano sienna 500.
