Hauser had ~7" of ice everywhere I checked today, about 1.5-2" white on top of black. I took my 7-year old out for a couple of hours this afternoon, we went home with 10 keeper perch. No cats for us today. Wasn't amazing but good enough to keep him interested. Will probably give it another go tomorrow.

Was out there today also, caught probably 20 total but mine were all small so i released everything, no catfish bites either. they seemed picky today, had a bunch that chased but not bite

Hit Blue Lake yesterday afternoon.  9” solid ice with 3-4” of snow on top. Caught two smaller crappie and pumpkinseed.  Saw quite a few on the flasher that wouldn’t take the bait….definitely finicky here as well.

Fished Freeman and Upper Twin yesterday. Freeman was pretty off-and-on with the bite, just small perch and a few pumpkinseeds; nothing too exciting. Upper Twin was the same way late in the afternoon. The ice was probably 8-9" deep at Freeman, 7-8" on Upper Twin. Still looking to pull a big pike through the hole.

I haven't taken the time to check it out. I'd assume it's fishable every where else nearby has been since last weekend.

Any body have an update on perch bite one Cocolalla?  Can you access the south end via side road along RR tracks?

I was out there on Saturday and it was pretty good. Came from the boat launch but saw some people south by the tracks coming up. Was about 10 inches of ice, not sure how it is now with the warmer weather and rain

30 to 40 feet, but they don't bite unless a train is going by.

Anybody have any success or intel with Blanchard Lake in the winter?  I know in the spring/summer it can be OK, but was wondering if anybody hits it during the winter.  I remember years ago seeing some folks setup out there, but haven’t seen anybody on it recently when I drive by (which is only a couple of times a month).

Was at Hauser yesterday. Lot of water and slush but still a solid 7-8 inches of clear ice underneath. Fishing wasn't that great. Supposedly that lake is best in the AM.

Anybody have any info on Cocolalla ? Thinking of going there tomorrow

I fished Cocollalla yesterday and caught nothing.  It was mid afternoon.  Lots of standing water on ice about 2" deep but under ice was sold and 5-6" thick.

Saw two ice fishermen wondering on Blanchard Lake last week.  Its always been real shallow and ice fishing can be tough.  It worth trying just to see.  The deepest hole is just south of the parking area where the old irrigation pump was.

Anyone made it to Gamlin or Shepard lakes?  How about a Round Lake update?

I went to Spirit yesterday.  Edges are getting funky and receding and ice at end of boat launch dock appeared to only be about 2" thick.  I didn't venture out.

Went to Hauser today to check it out, open water on the edges and the ice I could hit was rotten. Assuming everything else locally is the same with the warm temps and rain. Anyone know if any of the lakes up north have good ice on them?

Checked Chase Lake this afternoon.  Ice is just starting to pull off the shore in a few spots.  Off the end of the dock my spud punched through with 1-2 hits.  Drilled a hole and 4 1/2 inches of soft ice and several spring holes starting to show.  Chase is usually one of the better ice lakes as it’s generally a bit colder up here but it’s pretty dismal this year.

Checked Blue last night and Chase this morning.  Overnight was in the upper teens and currently it’s 27.  2-4” of snow earlier this week.

Blue….ice has started to pull away from shore at the access point. Someone had broken up the ice where it started and was very thin…1” or less.  As of last night I do not think a board would have worked to get to the thicker ice.  And I have my doubts on how safe that thicker ice really is.

Chase….edges have refrozen since last week.  Off the dock the ice is still very soft.  4.5” last week and total this morning was 6.5”….BUT…the top 2 inches is this week’s snow that is converting to ice.  So it’s more of a slush later with a crust from last nights cooler temps.  Last week I could see several spring holes but today the snow was covering them up. Not worth going out on at all…
