Artificial light for pike?
« on: Jan 12, 2017, 12:24 PM »
Was thinking of experimenting with a waterproof light in a hole just to see if it made a difference or not.  I tried glo-sticks before but the cold water seems to slow the chemical reaction too much and they don't give off enough light.  So I thought a waterproof battery operated LED light might do something.  Anyone ever try playing around with something like that?

I won't be trying it at night, too cold for me after the sun goes down.  But maybe on an overcast day it might bring in some curious fish.

Now would be the time to do it.  I've always wondered if they feed at night during a full moon.

This one bit at midnight, and she is still swimming.
