Best Bait for Big Largemouths?

  I live in Maine, and usually use medium-large Shiners in shallow fertile bass lakes... my success has been average so fAR... IS THERE A DIFFERENT BAIT i SHOULD BE USING?

i fish southern maine too, and as far as i know, med. and large shiners are the best baits you can get for bass around here...haven't really caught any bass on anything else...try some pike sized suckers (8"-10"). ive never caught a bass on one, only pike, but it seems like they would work to me.

jumbo sized shiners at least 5-6" for the best bass... they cant resist em

if you can get your hands on 'em i've caught some big bass in minnesota on 9-10" creek chubs.  i use to trap 'em, and they work great for everything. shiners, though, are alot easier to come by

Always wear clean underwear, cuz ya never know when the paramedics are gonna have to cut your pants off.

use a medium sized shiner about  3 or 4 incjes long
