out on the ice this am, right on schedule

went up the hill and found 5" of solid ice everywhere.  unfortunately bait shop had not stocked up yet and only had 'pot luck' tank running. spudded out my holes and set up.  it was flags about every 15 minutes.  i was using my 3lb trout tilts to force me to put some finesse into play.  didn't need it, nothing but clone bass and a dink slime dart and a decent perch. i did notice most hits were with semi/dead veteran shiners.  lazy winetr fish i guess.  a few pics

Nice Jim way to get out. I was going to try the spot up the road from my house but a little to thin out where we like to fish. Should be good by mid week.
