Looking to get a new rod and reel for lakers. Was thinking about the Jason mitchel mackinaw with a cabelas fish eagle reel. Anyone have a suggestion on a good set up for lakers?

Clam Puts out a really nice rod for Pike/ Lakers. I bought one last year and I love the backbone and still has good tip action. Its reasonalby priced too, comparing to some of the other name brand heavy weight rods. Mine was roughly $35-$40.

JM Mackinaw are awesome rods! Can't go wrong with them. Good backbone and nice sensitivity. I have two!
