When can you put out shacks on Winni?

Shack on 19 mile Bay this morning......

Obviously season starts Jan 1

Lake Trout/Salmon Lakes: "From April 1 through December 31, no person may take fish through the ice, from the ice, or from any object supported by the ice."

Hopefully they are just planning on hitting the ground running on January 1.

On the other hand, looks like there will be some fishable ice on January 1st. Gotta love that!

Maybe just securing a spot for the first? Is there any rule on when shacks can go on the managed lakes?

That makes sense... I know someone that puts out a shack every year but never fishes... Its their warming/cooking station for his family that all love to skate and play hockey and what not.
