First flags of the season
« on: Dec 22, 2016, 08:55 PM »
Got out with FlyFisherman404 Wednesday, had a good start to the season, probably like 10 real flags on a sunny day, got two bass and three fat perch, with a couple breakoffs from nice fish (well, realistically, pickerel) mixed in. 6 to 8 inches of nice ice.

Sure was a decent day on the water for us two novice ice fishermen, hopefully next time we don't snap off on as many! Now I just want to catch a laker or big rainbow through the ice lol

How'd they break off? Did you snap your line or did they shake it?

Had one clean cut on the set, a couple threw it during the fight, and I had one right up near the hole and he took a run and caught me napping, broke the 4 lb leader
