By my count that's 9 or 10 guys, and growing, were are all the women at? With 60 tipups out something going to happen. Weneric We all look like grumpy old men, because we are. As far as equipment goes I think there will be plenty of augers and old holes to fish in, There are no strangers in the world, just friends we have not met yet!

We have our club. ;D ;D

The keeper I did get had a two inch sunny in his belly, Nice male that was getting ready to spawn. they will herd up near the inlet, waiting for the females to show up in the brook 54 degrees is a key temp in kicking off the spawn, the water coming into the lake reaches 54 they will lay their eggs and the males will fertilize them. The PH of the lake as well as the carp population can put a hurting on the number of fry produced.if they hatch at all. We hope in the future they continue to stock them

Spur of the moment, felt like hitting the ice for probably my last time out this season. Fished from 2:00 to 1:00 on a beautiful afternoon to the wee hours.Met three great people fishing adjacent to us and there was one guy solo in the corner.
A slow bite would be an understatemant to say the least, with a total of 35 traps setup only two walleyes were iced last night, my friends 6" and 16" fish. A few panfish were iced also but very few flags were had by all.

what area of the lake?
panning on getting out friday night  for a few hours, setting out some tip ups  with various baits, and jigging with salted shiners  for a while

Uh Oh, spot burning detected! LOL! I admit to only having fished the lake once, but I would feel confidant fishing any of the shallow water areas at and after dark. Although it's true the eyes like running water in the spring the flats are probably holding their favorite forage, yellow perch in pre-spawn mode. Find the stripers, find walter.  Shallow, shallower and shallowist.  Good luck to you guys! Be safe on that late ice.

went and got the tip ups today,  hadnt  been used  in years and years
had to replace the leaders  but the normal line was still good
time to break them back in again
also decided im going to make  some of my own in my off season  so they are short enough to fit in my bucket so i can stay as compact as possible
