Shapell Bay Runner Mods
« on: Jun 13, 2020, 07:33 PM »
So I picked up a slightly used Bay Runner this spring and made some improvements to it.  Actually its one of the first ones made.  The gentlemen that sold it to me knew the original owners and he only used it a handful of times.  Hopefully someone can use some of these ideas.  I can't wait to get it out on the ice this winter.  Tick Tock lol  ;D

Looks great. I have one that I've been meaning to add some better lighting to. How well does it fold down with the extra height of the front console and folding seat back?

I believe it weighs around 65lb empty and loaded guessing somewhere around 80lbs if that.  I only have to lift the front end up to get it in my car.  I just made a smitty sled to haul it by hand on the snow.

Nice build Mac, the Bayrunners are a great platform to mod. I have one of the 1st ones as well, with a bunch of mods but don't really use it as much after moving to an Otter lodge pro flip last year. Still love my runner for those quick trips and places I gotta drag by hand. Great little shacks, you're going to like it. Good luck out there.
