OH, by the way.
I went over to the Maine bd. and did some posting. They are on me, do you got my back?

Did you see that LoneWolf used one of my perch pics for an example measurement photo?

There is nothing better than the smile on a childs face when they see the fish come up through the hole.

Joe

all of the perch and panfish were jigging with a few of the bass also.  the rest came on tip ups.   I did see two walleyes on the aquavu swim by the hole durring bait changes.

Dont worry about the mainers.... ive been busting their balls about whites for over a week now.

every body else thanks for the comments on the fish pics.

how frozen can a fish be.   I know alot of guys wont stop and take pictures untill after the school has passed or things slow down.

I mean you dont stop fishing when you have a school of big fish under you.

some of the more frozen fish in the on pic were only on th ice about an hour.  and it was a mild day up on the mountian.

so those bass and walleye would not count for the tourney???

here are a few pics of the sunrise this morning.

here are some of the rainbows that we got the biggest (skinniest) is 18 inches.

we also got a bunch of dink perch, some average bass and I got a almost 10 inch bluegill but did not get  pics.

12:30 we packed up and went to another lake set up and cooked lunch.  I had one of our 4 flags and got this fat little pike 24 inches.

Nice catches and nice pics.  I am still figuring out the first one?  Is that where one was lying on the ice?

beachcomber,
what do you mean the rainbows look strange? ??? ;D  If its the curve of their bodies.....  its the angle i took the pics.  I thought the same thing when i saw the pics once i got them up on here.  I will get some of them laying flat next time.

are those stocked rainbows or wild???

CRrick<

They are stocked RBS.  we put them in in the spring at around 12-15 inches.  500 go into a lake that is 160+ acres.  and they hold over all year and mosto fo the time they holdover for a few years.  we get them in there up to around 24 inches both browns and rbs.  the lakers when we get them are thought to be naturally reproduced in the lake considering the average size you get is in the mid 20 in range and they havve not been put in the lake for 35 years.

The RBS are probably a different strain of RB than you guys got. ours are Kamloops.

Gumpy2,

yeah that is what was under a perch that i had to kick free from the ice.  I just had to get a pic of it... i thought it was cool.

c.r.rick,

I will try and find some past pics of some rbs and browns that have come from the same lake.    If you look through the older pic posts and look for some threads of mine they are most likely in those.

me  and one of my buddies went out today and spent some time out and caught a few small bass and a couple of  nice gills and a nice 14 inch perch.  the only bad thing that happened was my buddy lost his leatherman down the hole when he went to get a flag.  at the end of the day i went to the truck and got the camera and took a look to see what i could see and saw a out line of it on the bottom in the muck so i told him i would try and find a magnet and see i could retrieve it today.  he later texted me to tell me that his tool was made of stainless steel which is not magnetic and that it probably would not work.  I still figured it was worth a try because not every component on it is stainless right.  any went down today and set the camera up and drilled a couple of holes around the one he droppped it down set the camera found the spot in the muck and would'nt you know it I dropped the magnet right on the pliers end of the tool which was not stainless. and got the tool on the first drop.

here is how the tool came out of the hole attached to the magnet.
