Anybody have or try the HT Frontier Tipups, 500' or 1500' spool (see Petersons-Outdoors)??
How about the Jack-Traps? Would you recommend the standard Jack or Cross-Jack? Does the lack of a drag system on the Jack's cause problems? Is the standard Jack stable or does it have a tendency to fall over, due to the lack of a cross bar?
I've been using Frabil (now HT) magnetic pop-ups for 10+ years with great results but I want to try a more rugged wood tip up. I need to retire (3) of the popups due to breakage of plastic parts or problems with the magnets.
