Trolling lures?
« on: Jan 08, 2014, 03:42 PM »
Just wondering if anyone uses summertime trolling lures and spoons for jigging up trout and salmon. Last season I caught a salmon on a crocodile spoon. This year I want to try others like DB smelts, suttons, mooselooks and that sort of thing. I'm just not sure it is worth the time to try them and all the space that kind of hardware takes up in my tackle box?

Any spoons will work, DB's will catch perch, the problem is those thin spoons take time getting down deep sometimes.  I stick to the heavy stuff for the most part, but casting spoons and trolling spoons have space in my box they have counted for many fish.
