              Good morning ER's,
It's 16* and clear here on my hill. ::)
Marv.......That's a good way to end the day, a couple of brews to warn off any aches and pain. :flex:
Fish........What a nice day to be out, nice weather and lots of fish. Congratulations to you and your son. Nice looking green house.
H2l.........I'm glad that your wife is feeling better and the NYC Dr.'s don't feel it necessary to drive down.
Bud........I've lost post as well and get peed off and started all over a few times myself. Then I looked when it happened and I noticed at the top of
The screen and saw Post reply and clicked on that and what I've typed was still there. :o
Wally......I hope you made it out safely and the grandkids got their full of your treats. I waited around all day and you didn't stop. LOL :roflmao:
Eddie......It's a little cool this AM but are you going to hit a stream this morning? ???
I-45/ Tom....We've haven't heard much from you two, I hope everything is going well.
Yesterday Direct TV/A&T was suppose to be here between 8am and noon to do an upgrade, they pulled in around 1:30. I went wireless on my system
and added another receiver upstairs to the guest room. Works great so far. Then I ran an outlet over a table in the basement to hang some grow lights for my
wife, so she can start plants in the basement. I will finish that up today. My wife is still at her mother's and it's a surprise. I might even start some seeds for her.
Oh, I got a call from the VA diabetic nurse and my A1C went down again .2 points to a 6.5. She's happy.
I hope everyone has a good Saturday either at work or out. Stay Safe and Healthy.

               IW

Good Morning Jeff, Morning Everyone,
21* and clear here this am, mid 40’s for a high today.

Jeff...I’m going to get a few chores done this morning and try my luck on the streams this afternoon. The kids bought me a new pair of waders for Christmas I was wanting, anxious to try them out.  ;D    Excellent news on your test results, keep up the great work!! That’s a great surprise gift for your wife, now you have me thinking, lol....keep us posted on the progress!
FH4...X2 on Jeff’s reply, that’s an awesome picture of you and your son out in the boat...way to go Dad!
Marv...looks like it’s “ Twitter pating season “ again!!!   Thanks for sharing the picture, those Toms look so good all fanned up and strutting around, awesome job!       Haven’t had a Miller in a long time, might have to grab a pack and join you with one ...remember all the jingles?   ;D
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiS_bya8eHvAhWYQc0KHVezAmkQwqsBMAB6BAgGEAk&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dk_HzThfudIk&usg=AOvVaw06UtJPO8wMjTIB5ov4MuK_
Wally... hope you had safe travels, bet everyone was excited to be together again....have a wonderful Easter with the family!!
OG...how’s the open water treating you?? As soon as I get my Jonboat out, I’m going to put that light line to the test, will keep you posted!
H2...excellent news on your wife, thoughts and prayers continued.      Do you ever target trout on the reservoir...understand there’s a bunch in there.
Bud...welcome to the lost post club,  ;D   Buffalo is about 250 miles or so from here...are you planning a trip in that area?
Steve...will you be heading to NJ for Easter?

One of the guys on our crew had his wife type up the rough draft of the letter I hand wrote to the Lieutenant Governor and brought in 10 copies yesterday. So, we went all in and addressed 9 of them to the highest ranking members of the Senate and Assembly as they are still in town trying to get the Budget passed.
I read once before that a good professional gambler only wins 30% of the time...seeing we have nothing to lose, if we hit with 3 responses, maybe we’ll have a chance at keeping our positions.  Saved one copy to give to our supervisor on Monday...to bring him up to date before his phone possibly blows up with calls, lol.
Time to get a few things done while it’s early, Cawfee’s on!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

Morning all,

Made it here with no problems, traffic was pretty light. Good to be with the grandkids again!! They’re growing up so fast, won’t be long until they’re all grown and on their own.

Have a good day. Stay safe, stay healthy.

16* here this morning.
F/H4, some nice walleyes. Looke like a nice day to be on the water.
IW, good news from the VA. We have heard that Spectrum may be coming to our area. I know it will be a lot less money and more speed so will be looking into it.
Got the device that monitors the wife's new pacemaker. Sits next to the bed, is hooked to wifi and whenever she is within 10 feet of it they can see what it is doing, adjust it. If we had cell service here at home it can be programmed to her cell. The cell will be used when away from home.
WS, saw some on a date the other day. Wish I had had my camera with me, saw a tom that was almost all white.
Have a good day and be safe....h2l

Thought I better let you all know I am still kicking. Been busy trying  to get the yard cleaned up. Every time I get the oak leaves cleaned up the wind kicks up blowing more leaves out of the woods across the road. It is getting tempting to start a fire over there and burn up the leaves.

H2l Spectrum has fast internet but the low cost will keep going up to where it gets costly. At least they do not make you sign a contract so it oes not  cost you to dump them.

Modify again as I lost my modify by hitting the wrong key.

Eddie It is good to here you finally saw your mother face to face. It had been too long!

The wife had here knee replacement delayed because she thought she had an infection that did not exist. Better safe than having an infection giving her troubles with an infection. Who knows when it will be rescheduled. It might make me miss some of my turkey hunting time. So be it as she is more important than me hunting.

IW My last a 1c was 6.1. Way better then when I went down with type 1 diabetes back in 2010. It was over 16. I have not talked to my diabetic specialist since He would not prescribe my test strips. He said I did not need to test my BS's since I was Type 2 and under control. My primary care doc prescribed them for me.

Time to get ready to head out for the get together with the wife's daughter and grandsons.

Good Morning, Everybody

Bright sunshine, breezy at times, supposed to get to the high 60's, maybe 70* plus later -  the wildfires were in the next county west of us on their west side so no impact on
us here, but it is very dry and cool

I.W. - that a1c number is great, good work, keep it up

Mrs. W.W. - glad you both made it safe east, have fun with the g-kids

Mason - if you don't at least try with the letter, you & the boys will never know if your jobs could be saved, good luck with it - glad to hear about visiting with your mom -
     good luck with fishing today

T.T. - good a1c also from you - hope the wife's knee replacement goes off without a hitch, whenever the dr's do it

H2L - with the new monitoring equipment, hoping things will get back to some kind of 'normal' for your family, good luck

W.S. - seeing those pics. of the 'toms' reminds me of a past friend I had in NJ who had a 'tom' as a pet, only person who could pet or scratch him was my friend
     enjoy the 'medicine'

Got back from NJ on Wednesday, spent 2 days between unloading & storing everything that made the trip back with me-three fingers of 'medicine' by the end of day, next
trip won't be till after Ellie gets back from Cabo middle of the month, fine with me, gives me time to get the office set up for paperwork, everything is in boxes right now
desk is finally ready for me to start putting everything in place - the trip was uneventful this time, the way it should be, the next trips will be for tools, then I can give
my 'keys' to NJ to someone else

We will have Easter dinner on Monday, Andrew has to work tonight into Sunday night late, so it was decided that Monday was the day for us

Time to 'crack the whip'

May All of You Enjoy and Have a Happy Easter

Be Safe
Stay Warm
Have Fun
Tight Lines
Records & Limits
Good Eats & Drink
Safe Travels
Happy Birthday
Happy Anniversary
Get Well Soon
Thoughts & Prayers

O.S. - if there is ever a next time, tell the med. asst. that you want to do it on them

Drifter - the cabin is coming along great
Now is the time for all good men and women to engage in the sport of ice fishing

Greetings everyone

It's in the mid 50's heading to 70 by the afternoon. If the fire dangers weren't so high it would be a nice day to sit out by a fire.

WW.... Glad you had a problem free trip. Don't squeeze the kids too hard :flex:

IW.... Congrats on the good A1C reading  Keep it up

Eddie...Best of luck with the letter and at the stream if you make it out  That tune is one that sticks in your head alright Lol.

Miller makes a good "belly wash". The main reason I buy it once in awhile is because it used to be my Grandpa Ernie's favorite beer. I remember as a little boy going to visit him and having him bring out a few Millers after lunch. Of course for a long time I could only have a swig or two, but eventually I got to earn my own bottle Lol One time when he was put in the nursing home shortly before he passed, the nurses allowed him to keep a case of Miller under his bed for when he had a hankering. I remember on our last visit to see him he had me pull his case out and we each had a beer. Even to day when I have one, I hoist it up and say "Here's to you Grandpa Ernie"! The girls always laugh Lol

TT....Best wishes to your wife. I hope everything works out so you can get a few days in the turkey blind

F/H4....Excellent pictures

CaptJ.... Hope you have an excellent time with your Monday Easter plans

I have to head out and scatter some corn. A pretty laid back day on my end today, not even going to putter.

Hope everyone has a good day  Stay safe and stay healthy.

Well everyone have a great Easter and it sounds like everyone is doing good. Well made it out to the lake again and caught a few right off the bat then one here and there. Lost a few but every time I figured we're some were hiding the other boats would move in and could not go back over the spot for a bit. Moved and caught 7 in one pass and lost a few others. The wife lost a good one and we finished the day with a limit of fish for each of us. The day the kids stayed home and had to quit at 12. But the wind came up and was about time to leave when we caught the last one anyways. Not too bad of wind and could have stayed and caught more but limit was in the boat and dinner time not bad for 4 hours of fishing.

Good evening had plans to visit with my sister and BIL today stay over night and come home tomorrow . When I got up today had to change those plans as I did not feel good spent majority of the day resting and multiple bath room visits. Doing better now but still think I will stay home tomorrow to prevent passing anything onto them.
IFF may all of your coworkers test negative. Nice you were able to get the boat out and do some fishing. Hope you and your roommate do make the trip East this Fall.
Eddie happy you and your sister got to have a short visit with your mom may it be the start of longer visits. Best to you and your coworkers with the effort to retain your jobs. I thought you worked for a private company that had contract with the state to do the maintenance/repair work did not realize you were part of the state's maintenance/construction department. may the new waders have no leaks and you report to us on catching a few trout tomorrow.
Ice Wanderer good to hear the work on TV/internet system went well and everything is working properly. Nice surprise for your wife.
Wallyworld good to read you had a safe trip to Mass. enjoy your time with the family.
Hunts2long may the NYC doctors be happy with the test results from your wife's recent emergency hospital visit. Amazing that they can monitor and program her new pacemaker over the internet. I have Spectrum for my TV and internet service provider don't know if they are any worse better then direct TV as currently  they are the only choice available to me as we are not allowed to have satellite dishes here at my complex.
Whopper Stopper thank you for the photo may you be seeing Hens and their poults in the coming months. Good to hear the wood splitting is complete and you got remember time spent with your grandpa Ernie while enjoying a few Miller beers.
Fish/hunt4ever nice you were able to get out and spend time fishing with your family congratulations on your catches.
Tomturkey when I lived at the house went through similar with the leaf raking neighbor cross the street has several large oaks in his yard and the wind always seemed to blow them onto my lawn. Best to your wife with the knee replacement surgery glad she does not have an infection. May you get in some Spring turkey hunting.
Drifter hope the insulation work is going well should see a difference once done with those outside temperatures. best to you with any fishing while at the cabin.
OldSailor happy to read your test was negative and the surgery can proceed .
Capt.Jim good to read your back home safely and had no problems on this trip. Enjoy the easter dinner with your son and his family.

May everyone have a Happy Easter.

Morning Jeff, Marv, Morning Everyone,
     Happy Easter!!
30* calm and clear at the moment, warming up to low 50’s today...nice weather for the Easter egg hunt later!

Jeff...safe travels and a wonderful visit, I’m sure that will be a great surprise for your MIL.
Steve...hope that bug has passed and you’re feeling better today.   Yes, we do work for a private contractor who has the contract for the Per Diem workers at the State...masons, laborers, electricians, carpenters, painters, plumbers, etc.  What they’ve decided to do as we understand it, is phase out our department on the masonry projects and put all of that work out to bid...the biggest reason behind it being our 2 main supervisor’s retiring this month and nobody else has been groomed for the position supposedly.
FH4...another excellent day out on the water, congratulations on limiting out!!
Bud...Fall is a beautiful time of year in the North East for sure, especially at the peak of the season. Maine is on my list to visit one of these days also, it’s the only state on the eastern seaboard I haven’t at least driven through, lol. Hope everything works out for your travels!
Marv...I didn’t grab a pack of Miller yesterday, but after reading your story, believe I will today...here’s to Grandpa Ernie, great stuff!
Wally...did the Easter Bunny come yet??  ;D  Have a great day with the family!!
Capt.J...welcome back, glad you had safe travels and no issues this trip, awesome!  Have a Happy Easter celebration with your son and family tomorrow.    The letters were worth the time for exactly what you stated. My time left working is minimal, but this crew of guys we have is hands down the best group I’ve worked with before...well worth the little effort it took to pen some words to politicians.
OS...congrats on the negative result, my eyes are bugging out thinking about the 10 rotations, yikes!    :cookoo:
Dave...hope things are going well at the cabin, would be interested in hearing about some of those fish landed!
Tom...glad to see posting, sending our best wishes to your wife whenever the knee replacement gets rescheduled. Hope you had a wonderful evening with the family.

Looking like a nice day here today weather wise, the grandchildren will be happy not having to bundle up searching for eggs later, lol.
Hit the stream for about 2 hours yesterday, conditions were surprisingly very good, but I didn’t land anything....one hooked and came unbuttoned. It’s all good, early in the season yet and just felt nice getting back out again.
Better get moving...quite a few things to get done before the family rolls in ....HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!   Cawfee’s on...

Eddie, bet it was nice to be out on the stream.
WW, hope the visit is going well. Have a safe trip home.

Yes a Happy Easter to all,  Wow did I hit a snag, two laptops and can not access any email accounts on either one   :nono: :P :woot: :%$#!: :%$#!: :%$#!: Will be heading to kids house in a few, and Son-in-law is somewhat of a computer guru.  Hope he can get at least this one back online.  Or I may find myself, really doing things "Old School"

At least my friend, got their stimulus money deposited, so maybe mine will show up in the weeks to come.

WW I amazed myself baking the pumpkin bread mix.  Almost left it in too long.  With a little practice, maybe I could make a good baker man ?  I remember first attempt at baking my sisters bread recipe it turned out gorgeous, but the second time was a disaster.  :nono:

Yesterday hit 82* will be slightly cooler today. so not complaining.

Safe travels, and stay safe.

Happy Easter may everyone be having a good day. Heading to sixty for the day's high temperature light wind with a few clouds in the sky. Still feel tired but doing better today.
Ice Wanderer nice surprise for your wife and MIL have a safe trip and good time.
Whopper Stopper thank you for the Easter greetings. Keep your dentist happy and eat those marshmallow "Peeps" in moderation.
Wallyworld  thank you also for the easter greetings . If your pie has not already been cut into may everyone enjoy it and the other items at today's meal.
Eddie thank you for the explanation sad a number of people will loose their jobs because of the retiring supervisors. I would think the state would want to keep all of you working since you all have been background checked and have security clearance. May the grandchildren have fun searching for the eggs.
Hunts2long nice that lindsay lives close enough to come a day early and help with the meal prep. All of you have a good day together.
IFF have a nice time at your daughters. hopefully your son-in- law can get one of the laptops working properly.
OldSailor have a nice day with your family. hope your nose has recovered from the Covid test.

Good Morning Everyone,
Hope you all had a nice Easter!  Clear and 37* this am, winds are blowing pretty good again, high in the mid 50’s today.

Steve...agreed, guess we’ll see what happens over the next few days. Glad you’re feeling a little better, did you get the vaccination recently?
Bud... hope you had a great day with the family yesterday and were able to get the computer issues straightened out!
H2...that was great Lindsay could help out with the dinner and stay the night, hope you all had a great time together!
I-45...sending best wishes your way, hope things are going better now for both you and your wife!

Had a really nice day with the family yesterday, good weather, good food, good health...blessed. Guess it would be a coin toss who had more fun with the Easter egg hunt...the kids or the adults watching, lol.
The fishing pole and waders will be staying in the truck for awhile now, might try another stream on the way home this afternoon and see if I can’t land my first trout of the season.   Cawfee’s on...

Morning all,

Hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. We had a blast, no organized sports for the kids but we had a family home run derby after the egg hunt and a fantastic brunch!! Think my grandson had the highest score but I sure felt like the winner!!!
Heading west after the kids leave for school. Have a good day. Stay safe, stay healthy.

                    Good morning ER's,
It's 34* and clear here on my Hill with a slight breeze. ::)
Eddie..........I'm glad you all had a good Easter watching the kids hunt for eggs. Maybe next year you can video some of
                     it to share.
Wally...........Have a safe trip home, looks like it should be a nice ride.
Steve..........I'm glad that you are feeling better. Yes my wife and MIL were surprised when we got there. My wife
asked me how I convinced him to come. I jokingly told her I saw him hitch hiking and picked him up. LOL  :roflmao:
Marv...........I go to the local hardware store and get pallets from them, they always seem to have plenty.
Bud............You probably have to restart your computers.
Tom............I'm glad that you are doing well. The winds have been terrible lately, blowing leaves on to your yard makes it more
                     aggravating. :%$#!:
I came home last night and got home around 10pm, made for a long day. When I got home the weather cat was itching to go out.
And didn't come in to almost midnight.
I have some chores to do around the house before my wife gets home tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a good Monday either at work or out. Stay Safe and Healthy.

Good Morning Everyone,
Clear and 36* on the Hill this am, still a bit windy but not blowing 20-30 like yesterday, high of 56 today.

Bud... congrats on solving the computer/phone problems, hopefully the boat issue as well.   The pumpkin bread sounds interesting...
H2...glad you all had a great Easter, well done Lindsay!!   How are things going with the maple syrup production?
Jeff...safe travels to your wife today, glad you all could spend Easter together, nice job!
Wally...hope you had safe travels home, sounds like an excellent time had by all...  Congratulations to the home run derby champs...thanks for the idea!!
Marv...slight change in fishing plans yesterday after work, got an oil change done instead that I’ve been putting off...today looks promising though!!   ;D  Be safe with the saws today if that’s on your agenda...

Yesterday as we were getting our daily temperature checked by our supervisor before starting work, I asked him for a few minutes of his time to talk and handed him a copy of the letter we sent out to the politicians. I explained the reasons behind it, as well as the appreciation we had for him for all his work keeping us busy, giving us the opportunity to work at this great complex. He was quite surprised we took that step and very in favor of our efforts trying to preserve our jobs which was very cool.
Mentioned we didn’t want to see him get blind sided by some phone calls over the next few days from a few politicians. He then asked how many we sent it to? Couldn’t help but giggle and say....” well, starting from the Lieutenant Governor down,  10. “ He got a chuckle out of that as well and we parted on a good note with a handshake as he started reading the letter.
At coffee break he came to our shop and hung out with us for awhile, gave a us a great speech on our accomplishments and his appreciation of our work and friendship over the time we’ve spent together. He made it clear he was honored to help with anything he could do to help secure our jobs, especially with the facts and figures he would present to any of the politicians should he receive a call. That was pretty darn admirable in our book. Guess we’ll see what happens.  ;D    Cawfee’s on!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

Good morning Eddie! good morning everyone

60 heading to 70 by the afternoon. An incredible light show last night but only .02 of rain in the wood bucket when all was done.

Eddie.... you are gaining traction with the letter, way to go!

IW.... Glad your trip went well. Last year I tried a few stores around here for pallets, I struck out Lol Market place came through with a few.

WW.... I bet your own bed felt good ;D Did you get to take a few swings?

Bud.... Hope you beat the Robbins

Yesterday I spent some time doing some work on the wood splitter. I had a leak develop in a hose and was able to shorten it enough to rid the issue. I also have a drip in the lift cylinder but that one I will live with for awhile.

Today I have a little wood to split as I clean up the wood lot. I probably have a cord of wood for the fire pit, hope that translates into lots of BBQ chicken.

Hope you all have a good day  Stay safe and stay healthy.

                  Good morning Eddie, Marv, ER's,
It's 29* and clear here on my hill, I hope the wind lays down today. ::)
Eddie.........That was a good thing to inform the supervisor of the letters, nothing worse in getting blindsided. Also his speech showed
that he cares about your future working at the complex. I hope it all plys out in your favor.
Marv..........Smart to get the hose fixed, if you had let it go and it sprung a big leak you would have had a mess on the ground. :flex:
Wally..........I'm glad it was a good weekend with the family, home run derby was a great idea.
Bud............I saw the first Robbin yesterday here, I hope that was a good sign. It's amazing how your Smart Phone was trying to
take over your laptops. :cookoo: Reminds me of a Arnold Shwartznagger movie, machines taking over the world.
H2l.............I'm glad that you had a good Easter with Lindsay and Rocky, how far away does she live from you? ???
My wife called and said it won't be until tomorrow that she is coming home.
I hope everyone has a good Tuesday either at work or out. Stay Safe and Healthy.
