Marv........That's strange that one kayak leaks and the other doesn't, it doesn't make sense. ???

WW, glad the ride went well.

Lindsay and I had a great time. School is about done for the year but she does work part of the summer at summer school. We will be able to get out during the week a few times. Said she won't miss the drive to Herkimer everyday.
Not much planned for today. Trip to NYC on Tuesday and we have to leave by 3:30am.

Have a good one...h2l

Hopefully the cold front gets here soon with lower humidity. You can almost chew the air this morning with the high humidity. Not much of a cool down but a little is better than the 90's.

The state is sure screwed up with the rebuild of a 5 mile stretch of expressway. The north bound off ramp that is where every one gets off to go to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes has been closed for quite a while. This morning they are closing the south bound on ramp. It will be closed for a long time.  The north bound ramp will be open just before the 4th. With it being closed a friend has been hit bad by loss of business at his gas station/convenience store a mile west of the ramp. He gets a lot of business from people going to and from the dunes.

WW Sadly I did not realize until too late to thank so many of those vets that led me on the right path before it was to late. There has been a lot of motorcycle crashes around here lately. One was with a deer and the motorcyclist did not fare out very well.

Good day everyone high temperature moved in yesterday heat index for today will reach one hundred or slightly over in parts of my area good day to stay inside and go through boxes of items I've brought over from the house. Happy to read all you dads had a good day.
Tom Turkey glad the WW2 veterans  stepped in to help with your raising in absence of you father and that you have had the chance to thank a few of them over the years. All the best completing the plumbing work. May your friends business not suffer to badly from decreased volume of customers .
Eddie appears  it is time to adjust concrete mixture so curing time is not affected by the high humidity. Good to read you were able to get more concrete to complete side job nothing like being short of material to finish a project.
Ice Wanderer may all go well with the baby sitting be careful if you let your granddaughter do any thing outside today.
Hunts2long nice that you and your daughter will have time to fish together this Summer. She is making a good recovery from her surgery. May any possible thunder storms not present a major problem with trip to NYC at least you will be traveling at a time of lower traffic volume.
Wallyworld may the jinx be broken with deer. I past two waiting for disposal pick up during my travels yesterday. One member of the local deer herd hangs around my complex there is a strip of woods separating the complex and neighboring property this deer feeds in this strip on a regular basis and is comfortable around people. Hopefully does not get hit by a vehicle.
IFF sorry today's fishing  trip did not work out , enjoy the fillets from your previous trip last week. best to your wife with her eye exam.
Whopper Stopper to bad the problem with wife's kayak has caused change in plans. Good you have another boat  and will be able to alter from original trip. May all of you catch a trophy musky.

Be safe when out in heat and humidity . Best to all fishing.

Good Morning Everyone,
71* and breezy this am, high of 78 here today. Had a hot one yesterday, local news said it hit 97* down in Albany tying an old record high.

Steve...hope you're still feeling better, hope your Dr.'s appt goes well.
Tom...we have some cooler air moving in, hope the same is going on out your way and you get some rain soon.
H2....safe travels to the City, best wishes to your wife on a good report!
Wally...lots of Gatorade and water yesterday! Glad you and Mr.WW had a pleasant ride, can't believe it's been a year already since that bike accident, wow. Wtg getting rid of the jinx...
Jeff...hope the babysitting went well for you yesterday, how's the hand doing?
Marv...best of luck to you and the ladies fishing....hope you all have a great trip and get on some Muskies!

We started the morning off yesterday removing marble then got a 911 call about 8am to go get an area ready for concrete. Ended up setting some curbs and forming new sidewalks....concrete coming this morning at 8am.
Cooler temps today will be gladly received...yesterday's temps seemed to bring the grump out of a few people, lol.
  Cawfee's on....
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

Eddie........It must have been brutal at work yesterday, I know I had the grump on because of the humidity. :%$#!:
Steve........You probably made a good move to be in with some air conditioning.  :flex:
Wally.........I'm glad the bike ride was problem free in the deer area.
Marv..........I want to see a picture of you with a nice Muskie that you landed. :woot:
H2L...........I don't know how you do it, all those trip to NYC, it's such a rat race there.

Good day fellow 9:45ers ,weather guessers were correct only in the eighties today with lower humidity.   brief but intense thunder storm cam through around 7 PM also more rain overnight scattered power outages around my region of NY. Besides tomorrows doctor appointment  I have funeral service to attend on Thursday morning father of family that owns garage I use to service my SUV passed on the 15 TH.
Eddie nothing like a sudden change of plans , glad today's and rest of weeks weather is forecast to be better then Monday's strenuous work outside is never good in high heat and humidity.
Ice Wanderer may doctors be happy with how your hand is healing and any new therapy provide some results.
Wallyworld have fun at your camp may local eyes provide good action for the two of you.

Have a good day. Best to all fishing.

I will try to remember what I had written and lost this morning due to old timers on my part.

The humidity dropped in the middle of the after noon yesterday. We got some rain after supper last night and a little more today. It was a lot more comfortable today.

Eddie I feel for you having to work in the heat and humidity. I have gone through that a lot while I was working construction.

ww I met a lot of the veterans at a coffee shop when I was down town to shovel the side walk at the dime store I worked at in high school. if the village had not plowed the side walk I would go into a coffee shop and have a cup of coffee. The place had a lot of WW2 vets in there that I got acquainted with. Add to that the number of vets that I delivered newspapers to back in the early 50's.

We had a helmet law in Michigan for a while but a law suit did away with it. It bothers me to see so many riding motorcycles with out a helmet. They must think that there heads are harder than what they hit when they go down.

IW I am sure that you are glad to get the bandage off. I went through bandaged hands a number of times. One time it was with a brace for two weeks and then another two weeks with it on after I got the stitches off. It really got old soon.

Good Evening Everyone

Not much to report on the musky fishing. We threw for 8 hours and didn't even have a follow. I am guessing the 13" of rain in the last couple of days really put the brakes on. In between throwing big baits the s-i-l caught a 7-8 pound northern and the wife had a good sized northern on, that got even bigger when she muffed it and it got off :roflmao: We talked to 3 different groups at the boat launch and all claimed zero sightings. Lots of storm damage and roads washed out up in this area.

As I was packing last night 2 old customers called with down trees. Looks like Sunday will be a big day. I am just thankful both jobs weren't pressing.

Tomorrow we are going to a lake 1/2 mile from where we are staying. Supposedly there was once some good sized fish in it so we will spend the day pounding. The locals claim it has been poor for the last couple of years as there were a number of muskies taken from tribal spearing.

WW good luck fishing the eyes

IW hope the itching is all gone now that the stitches are out

Eddie hope the weather stays tolerable for you and the crew Sir

mr.clean sorry for your loss.

Hope you all have a good evening  Stay safe!

                    Good morning ER's,
It's 52* and clear here on my hill with another nice day ahead, low humidity, very comfortable.
Marv.........I'm sorry to read that there will be no Muskie pictures yet, i was hoping you were going to hook in to a monsta! :woot:
Maybe on the next lake. My hand feels a lot better now that the stitches are out. They put on some Steri-Strips over the incisions and then
another more flexible wrap that I will remove in a couple of days. :flex:
Steve.......No therapy needed at least I don't have top go to a PT, I just have to use it and try to concentrate on my hand strength! :flex:
Wally........The shoulder isn't any better,. I have therapy again tomorrow, I also have an appointment with the orthopedic Dr. on the
29th. I don't know what they will recommend next, he did tell my wife after the manipulation that they could always do it again. :%$#!:
Eddie........I guess you had an early start today, I bet you were grateful yesterday that the humidity level was way down? ???
Tom..........I'm glad to read that you got some rain and some relief from the humidity.

We got some more rain over night. A nice 59* this morning with only the mid 70's guessed for today. Sure better than what we had last week end.

capt54 Good to here you are alive and well. With your business you have to make your money while the sun shines. I had a friend and his wife that ran a vegie stand for over 30 years. Since they quit I have not had a good ear of corn since.

H2l It is good to here the trip went well yesterday and the results were good.

WS  I hope you can finaly get ahold of one of those elusive muskies.

I need to call my orthopede office today. When I went to get up yesterday I had terrable pain comming out of my sholder blade. If I can not get an appointment in a short time I will go to their walk in clinic this after noon. I had to sleep in a chair last night as the pain would come back if I layed down. Getting old is sure not for the sissys.

I did get the lawn mowed yesterday. Thankfully I have self propellled mower.

Good day doctor's appointment was good since it has been over  twenty years since my last physical going next week for lab work then will have follow up with doctor. May end up seeing pulmonary specialist  also think I have high blood pressure last few times I've had it taken top number has been 130 or higher. Cloudy with rain moving in this evening.
Tom Turkey may pain in your shoulder be a passing thing and not a new headache for you.
Captain54 welcome back must be brutal working in the green houses on some Summer days.
Whopper Stopper nice that the tree jobs are not emergencies. Hope when you or the girls hook into a musky it is trophy class.
Wallyworld have fun at camp all the best chasing the walleyes.
Hunts2long glad you wife continues to receive good reports from her doctors. happy to read no traffic problems.
Ice Wanderer may they find a therapy that helps your shoulder the manipulation sounds very painful. Best wishes with regaining hand strength.

A good and safe day to all.

H2L.....good to hear the trip yesterday went well

IW.....ouch is about all I can say  :pinch: had a frozen shoulder a while back, luckily rehab & cortisone helped so no surgery was needed

Not a bad day on the water, managed 4 keeper eyes, 3 white perch & too many short eyes to count  @)  kept the legal ones for a friend's table. We'll see what tomorrow brings  ;)2

Tom...glad you got a break with that hot weather, how's that shoulder doing today?
Capt.54...nice to see you swinging by! Hope the growing season has been good for you so far! Looking forward to that cool weather as well.
H2...glad to read about another good report on your wife, excellent!    Monday's weather was a little tough...  ;D
Jeff...bet that fealt great getting those stitches out and the bandage off! Best wishes on a full recovery now Sir!
Marv...we're pulling for you and the ladies to score a Musky or two, best of luck! Glad to read the ladies hooked into a few Northerns anyway! Some serious rainfall out there, wow! Hope you're all having a great time, enjoy!

Had some Internet difficulties again yesterday morning, same deal, couldn't get a connection again for some foolish reason or another.
Cruising along on the marble, we're down to about 400 pieces left out of the 1500 we had for this seasons repair work. Believe we'll be starting a fairly large brick/block job at the Mansion soon...nice change of pace.
Well, it's that time again to get moving....cawfee's on gang!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

               Good morning Eddie, ER's,
It's 57* and clear here on my hill, a high of 76* is expected. As much as I hate the 3H's on Monday my wife's tomato plants
grew a lot. So for gardens sake we could use some more. :cookoo:
Eddie.......I keep saying there are Gremlins in these things.  :roflmao: You guys are going to town on the marble, good job! :flex:

Marv.........I hope the fishing picks up for you.
Wally.........Nice eyes, are you headed back out today?
Therapy today, lets see what the therapist has in store for today.

Good morning Eddie, IW ! Good morning everyone

WW nice going on the eyes

Tough bite in WI. Still no muskies to show. There is a big tournament this weekend up here with a few teams pre fishing. We talked to several and we're told some were dropping out because of the flooded conditions. All said fishing sucked lol. The northern in the 2-3pound class have been going crazy and the girls have turned their attention to them. I spent most of the afternoon unhooking fish as they were hammering them lol.

This morning we are going back to the first lake we started with in hopes things settled down from the rains, probably wishful thinking. Tomorrow we are heading to the shack to bait and I may head for home as the girls chase bass.

Hope you all have a  good day  stay safe.

Nice cool start to the day again today. There is still a Grand Rapids reporter in the UP in Houghton reporting on the recovery from the

ww The pictures of those fish makes my mouth water. They used to plant some walleye in our lake but that will not happen any more as they might eat some of their precious LM Bass. I am hearing more and more fishermen complaining about the lake being over run with bass.

WS  Some day you will finally connect with the musky on your bucket list. At least the gals are giving your arm a rest unhooking the pike they are catching.

Off to the city in a bit as the wife got a call from the office where my diabetes/endriconlgist  specialist is. They had a cancelation with the DR that she is scheduled with about her thyroid  issues instead of waiting until mid July. I think maybe my Dr.    there may have helped that out as he discussed those issues with her at my appointment last week.

We will kill some time until the walk in clinic opens at the orthopedic office we use as I could not get an appointment for a couple of weeks. I managed to sleep in bed last night but had to be careful moving around to keep the pain from coming back. They have odd hours as they set the clinic up to cater to athletic injuries. 3 to 9 pm during the week and more normal hours on Saturday.

Tom...hope your wife's appt. went well yesterday and your shoulder was problem free last night.
Marv...sounds like the ladies are making the most of their trip, glad the northerns were on the chew keeping them busy, awesome! Anxious to read if that first lake produced any Muskies for you yesterday....
Jeff..hope the therapy went well for you yesterday!   My tomatoes and peppers seem to be slowly moving along at the moment, cucumbers are going crazy after that heat though.
Wally...looking forward to your report, hope the walleyes are still on fire for you and Mr.WW!

Heard on the local news they are still on the lookout for someone named Charlie in a town about an hour East of here. He's been spotted a few times, but has been quick to disappear as law enforcement moves in on him. He's 6' tall and weighs 150lbs., escaped from a farm on Wednesday...oh, forgot to mention he's an Emu!     ;D
Hope he has a better ending then those Swans I read about over on MFF...Doh!
Sounds like we have some rain coming in for the weekend. Last shift for the week coming up anyway...cawfee's on!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

                    Good morning Eddie, ER's,
It's 49* and clear here on my hill also a high of 74* is expected. ::)
I just found out that Charles Krauthammer passed away, I've always liked his commentary. He was one of the most intelligent
persons of our time. Condolences goes out to his family. :(
Eddie........Now that would be a surprise to find in the woods especially if you didn't know he was on the loose. lol :roflmao:
Marv.........If I remember right the sisters always do well with the Pike, it never gets tiring catching fish. :flex:
Tom..........I'm glad to hear that the nice weather is holding for you.
Wally.........I hope the eyes keep hitting what ever you throw at them. :flex:
Lawn mowing is on my to do list today, I'm doing mine then my part time neighbors lawn, they asked me to report on how high
the grass was and one of them would run up to do it but I offered. They have their house on the market and want it to look presentable. ::)
I hope everyone has a good Friday either at work or out fishing.

Nice cool 45 this morning. Mist coming off the lake so it must be cooling some. Water temp yesterday was 71 out in the lake. Went out for about 3 hours, got 6 walleyes. All in about 45 minutes, the wind changed to the East and they were gone. Fish are starting to bunch up on the breaks so fishing should improve. Left the boat hooked up, may go back out this afternoon.

Wife has a Doctor appt in Albany this morning so going with her.

I wasn't too happy with the outcome of the Swans myself. It could have been handled much better. I did hear about Charlie. Hope they find him before someone meets him in a dark alley some night after they have had a few....lol

Have a good day....h2l

              Good morning ER's,
It's 60* and partly cloudy this Saturday with rain coming in later today!
Wally........At least you're catching fish and you're right it should be a good ice season where you are fishing.
H2L..........It goes back to the saying "Wind out of the East fishing is the least, wind out of the West fishing the best." :woot:
We didn't hear from Marv yesterday, I hope he and the ladies had a good day on the water. ???
Not much going on here today, my wife is at her sons again to be with her granddaughter while he's at work.
I hope everyone has a good day either at work or out fishing!

59 and cloudy. Some rain later, or so they say.

WW, a couple good days of fishing. I said almost the same thing, No ice for 2 years, should be good fishing next Summer. Went out yesterday PM. Again it took awhile to find some active fish. I was on fish most of the day, they just would not hit. Stopped at my #1 spot and caught 9 in just over an hour. If I hadn't been getting late I would have went back to some of those other fish, just to see if they had turned on.

Not much planned for today. Wife is going out with the daughter this morning. The rest of the results from test done in NYC came back, all is good, just have to do a follow-up in late July.

Have a good day....h2l
