If that's the same ice fishing buddy ya had in Valentine a few weeks ago, tell him he has too many bad habits.

Looking forward to your reports.

First day at Devils Lake was a great one!  This is iceckers son posting for him since he doesn't have a computer with him.  He'll be available to answer your questions in a week.  They are having more fun then all of us!

Swampdonkey, so far they've done it all on their own...but since it's a bucket list trip I think they need to try a guide at least one day just to see what it's like.  Rancher, Devil's Lake is in Northeast North Dakota.  It's about a 13 hour trip from where they live in SWNE but it sounds like it's well worth the drive!  I will post pics and updates as dad sends them to me.

I had a firefighter thing tonight so I didn't get to talk to dad but I got a couple pics from him via text.  I've tried to make the pics bigger without distorting them but the quality really falls off with any size.

I tried again to make it a little sharper and bigger...this is about as good as I could get it

Just got today's report...the boys ended their Devil's Lake bucket list trip with their limit of walleye.  Sounds like they had the trip of a lifetime, and I'm guessing they are already making plans to go back next year.  According to the weatherman, it looks like Nebraska's ice season will be coming to a close shortly.  Good luck and be safe to all that have a chance to get out before last ice!

got back late last night from devils lake. had just an incredible time. its alittle overwhelming. caught fish every day. fished the first four days on our own. then on thur. fished with the perch patrol guide service and glad we did. the wind was howling and the ground blizzard was bad. couldnt see 50ft. in front of you. they put us on the jumbo perch . really fun day. friday  meet a guy from fargo and he let us tag along with him to a walleye hole where  we caught a limit.. devils lake should be on every icefishermans list of lake to check out. i see i need to work on my picture taking skills and learn how to post. one quick story. meet a guy from iowa that had been digging ginseng for 35 years. didnt even knew it grew in the u.s.a.  till i watched an episode of appalachian outlaws. he also raised turtles. dont laugh he said he made 100 grand last year   selling to the chinese. never know who youll meet. thanks for listening. be safe out there
