First Person on the Ice To Catch a Fish. (WITH PICS)
« on: Dec 05, 2009, 04:39 PM »
Unless someone beat me to it, I was the first person on this forum to catch a fish, it happened at 12:20 P.M. today. A small Bluegill, but I didn't care, I finally got my Ice Fix, I caught 2 small gills and a 12" LMB. Ice was 3-4 inches. I will post pics later tonight hopefully.

Way to go!  I've got Wednesday and Thursday off, so I'm hoping to punch some holes then.

Congratulations   Though you wouldnt have beaten to it except I had some house cleaning to do this morning.  Caught my first fish about 3 oclock this afternoon.  took my 4 year old out this afternoon.  He had a good time.  Only caught one nice gill, due probly to the fact he likes to clunk around in the sled alot.  Fished the refuge.  West Long had 3" and Watts a little more than that.  No action at all on West Long.  Buddy 25' away was catching a decent batch of cleanr gills, nothing special just decent cleaners.  He probly had 12-15 when we left.

Way awesome way to earn the $$$ for a new shanty.  Came by two roosters tonight myself on the way out fishing.  Went to the refuge again.  Not much time but I caught a few little bass and one bluegill.
