2 weeks ago there wasn't any ice...I think it's safe to say it's on its way with this weather but probably not safe in the union springs area

Hinky - Heard that there were still some open spots on the north end.  Ice from Frontenac out to the islands but that just formed in the last couple days.  Going to drive by today on lunch and will give you a better idea of what she looks like.

Hinky,

There is ice over by Harris Park.  There was one guy in the little cove there fishing it.  Not sure how much ice but can't be too much.

As you head south the ice disappears.  Ice is completely gone in front of Yawger.  Twin Oaks is open water.  There is ice from Frontenac launch to the island but open water beyond that and like I said, that ice is new there.

Cold weather coming, hopefully that will lock up the rest of Cayuga.

I probably going to check the North end out tomorrow.  Didn't get to fish it last year.. be nice to have a good perch lake 15 minutes away. Instead of driving hours.

I didn't make it, talked in to going Sodus a lot of small perch keep enough to eat.
So I guess no one fished on ice at Cayuga?

I read it FingerLaker607
Just did a road trip around, gas is cheap down there.
Hopefully it will harden up soon.

I also took advantage of that cheap gas...serious savings!! Folks were packed in that "casino" like sardines too. Crazy
I'm hopeful for the end of this week

Heard rumors of ice fishing north end and the lake is iced up past Union Springs any truth to it?
Just wondering if any honest fishermen know if it is so?
Feel free to PM me if afraid to reply.
Any news is good news to me.
