Gill location confused!
« on: Dec 18, 2008, 07:14 PM »
First time to the site and wondering if anyone had some tips on some Bluegill locations. Here's the scenario: The lake I fish is spring fed with various springs all over and a small creek running through it. The whole lake was weed covered in the summer, but all that is gone now and it's only December! Thinking the quick change from fall to winter with lots of wind prolly took them out.. So far the only structure I have is Bullrushes all over and some secluded sections average depths 10- 12' ...  I can see my jigs all the way down to 12 ft on my camera so water is very clear! Now the ice is about 8 inches. I have caught alot of small fish on edges of bullrushes and a few bigger ones (9" ers), but wondering what else to try.... need more info let me know thanks
