Lakes near Wisconsin/Michigan border

Hello, Wisconsin neighbors. I live about 1.5 hours from the Wisconsin / U.P. border and have family that live closer, in Escanaba, and was thinking about making a trip over for a day or two. Not sure where I'd like to fish, but preferably not too far of a drive past the border. Target species would probably be perch and walleye, or maybe gills and crappie. I'd probably be going around early to mid February. Don't have a snowmobile or quad, but willing to drive my vehicle out if ice and snow permits. Anyone have any suggestions?

Lac Vieux Desert is a lot of fun. Twin Lakes just to the East of LVD is really good for walleyes and perch. Kentuck Lake is on an upswing for walleye as well. Always done well on the Cisco chain as well.

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to school with some people from Wisconsin. I'll see if they are familiar with any of these lakes and see if they can give me any more advice on them.

Lac Vieux Desert is a great lake, also a good place to stay is Sunrise Lodge.

LVD is one of my favorites in the area.
