anyone get any big winni wp yesterday? hottuna5150 and I walked and covered a huge area minimum of 5-6 miles had the entire section pretty much to ourselves , covered huge flats and basins on my known wp hot spots. Didn't mark any at all. Marked some lakers that were interested in chasing but not biting. We caught 3 lakers for a full day of jigging. Good time to cover lots of ground but slow fishing. Wp have been so hard to locate this year? How did you do? These long extended bluebird skies are not doing us fisherman any favors.
PS it pays off to have a few access points this time of year the edges went fast Plan A was a bust Plan B was solid plan C wasn't needed. Good advice from a previous post from one of the wiser ones on here. (Thanks Roc)

I struggled in the beginning of the year to find them. A lot of my long time honey holes weren’t producing fish. I haven’t caught the numbers I used to and haven’t gotten any good “blitz days” but the further into the season I get, the better I have been doing. I fished Saturday with really good success. Got setup on spot number 2 around 8:30 (couldn’t get on at spot number one) but caught 10 white perch, 10 smallies, 1 big yellow and 1 big cusk. Most on tip ups. They were on the edges of flats, not so much in the middle.

I think the thing that I find most interesting was all that water and not one perchy mark. Other lakes I’ve fished they are in the spots I anticipated the last few weeks. That said, it was a beautiful day, the company was great and hey some pretty lake trout made for an awesome day

Good information. I def like to explore and find new spots but the areas I usually target were slow. I found them in numbers yesterday finally. 24 to 28feet
Thanks

Probably my last trip out. Fished yesterday out of 19 and found them hot and heavy. Navionics said I was in a 30 foot flat but my flasher said anywhere from 23-27. Tip ups didn’t produce squat but lots of fish jigging. Biggest went 2.9-2.11
