  I had to order my maggots myself cuz the bait shop doesn't have them yet and I am going to Stockade lake near Custer this Saturday. I am positive that there will be at least 5 inches! If there will be anyone in the area, I will start in the sw corner of the stockade fort end and work along the channel towards the dam until I find them. (staying off of the deep water cuz it won't be thick enough) I will be with my buddy and we will both be in Scouts. Feel free to stop and get info from us or just say hello.

Today was day 4 for me on ice. Started on the 30th

  Today was a pretty good success. Caught about 30 perch and 3 smaller pike. The ice is 7 inches at Stockade and the bald eagles are active and its just beautiful up there. I put all my perch back cuz I felt like they were too small. I started a thread on the general ice fishing chit chat section asking everyone how small of perch they will settle for cuz I may have been a little too picky. I always feel like I could come back next time and knock the snot out of them when they're a little bigger. Great to finally be on the ice!!!! My gear will stay in my Tahoe until March!!!
