Thanks teacup13 for the kind words.
My grandson wants to help grampa catch some more fish. Now that it has finally warmed up , I'll have him out there soon .
Not only does he like catching walleyes, he really likes to eat them .

Time to bump this thread ahead....had  a hard time finding it.
Had the hut out last winter....caught  lots of fish ...fed good...nuthing big...biggest wus I9 I/4 inch walleye.
Already about 20 shacks out on the ice-road
Will move shack onto ice next week.

I am glad you bumped up this thread!  I am building another shack myself, my second one.  I sold my others.  I was looking for pictures of how guys built their roofs and to get some ideas the last few days.  I built my 4x8 with a flat roof, but this time I am building a 6x8 and want a pitched roof and am not sure how to build/design it.  I had a few ideas but your jig is a great idea, I think that will help me out...thanks!  Nice shack by the way, just big enough to be cozy.

Thanks jasond37.
The trusses were made out of 1 x 4s and plywood truss plates .
I put my shack out on the ice yesterday , positioned ,leveled and snow banked it today .I set up my home made stove and lit a fire ....was nice...
Tomorrow I'll drill some holes ...maybe catch a few fish for supper.
The grandson holding his first Walleye now has a younger brother that likes to fish...so will probably have some photos later on .
