I got a quote for 300 to spray foam it. I think that's what I will do.

That sounds like a good deal to me!  Can't wait to see the results!

Sorry to be asking so many questions, but I am seriously curious about the steel studs. Can you give me a link to some of studs that are similar to the ones you used? After looking on a few different websites, there is a lot of different types and sizes.. I'm not sure which ones would be best. Also, are the non-load bearing studs for interiors appropriate for a fish house?

Nice work! I am going to build one this summer and was thinking of that same size as it would fit on my utility trailer. Do you plan on getting it on the ice this year? I would like to take a look at it before I start mine. Looks like you are doing a good job on it.

What kind of a trailer do you have to haul the 8 wheeler?

Nope not rich. The Argo is 17 years old with a lot of hours on it lol. I have a 5x10 enclosed trailer I keep the Argo in. It just barely fits in it. If I didn't already have the trailer I would go a 6x12. But I already had the trailer from my bed liner business so that's what I use.
Dropped the Shack off at the insulator hope to have it back Friday!

Got it back from getting insulated. Put my lil buddy heater in for a test and on high. It was 20 outside and checked it in a hour and it was 87 inside. Just needs a few finishing touches and ready to hit the ice. Might have to take a day off from work this week and go out. Anybody have some ideas for inside accessories? Maybe a rattle reel or 2 or any other ideas.

Im not sure how much weight it added. I should have weighed it before and after. Hopefully in a day or 2 I will have the weight of the house as it sits.

Whats a good way to weigh shacks? I have some truck scales but they don't even move till 1000lbs.

Is there a farmers elevator remotely close to you?

I loaded mine on my trailer and went out to the Port of Entry. Got a gross weight, went home and unloaded the shanty. Then went back and weighted again. That's the only way I could do here where I live. The closest truck stop with a scale is 50 miles away.
 I hope this helps.

I use the truck scale at the recycling center to weigh my stuff... 20# increments as high as you want to go.

Well I took it out to the lake Friday so it will have to wait to get weighed lol. Was going to take it out today and use it but snow drifts were a bugger so came back home.

I stopped and did a quick inspection of your shack today on my way out to the ice. Nice job. It looks great and well built.
