The hubs are great for my style of fishing. I would not buy one from any where other then LL Bean. They are all made the same and Beans has the Shappell for the same price, but it comes with a lifetime warranty, that in itself is priceless. I have had mine for 3 seasons with no problems what so ever.

IDK about the Frabil, but the Shappel uses 600 denier fabric, the Eskimo Quickfish only 300 denier.  As WW stated, both are at LL ~ Shappel is only $0.95 more..........

What does Beans have for a selection? Don't see any on their web site.

Neither! After doing countless hours of research and reading reviews I chose the Glen's Elite Outdoors 3-man, shipped for $149.99.

Hmmm... who is making the shelters for them this year???  No, I would rather deal with a real company.

I got an eskimo for three reasons. One is the windows, more of them and at both heights for sitting and standing. The second is they have the best ice anchors I've seen, no drill needed. The third was that even the square QF4 has two doors. Costumer service was great too I broke a window the first season and it was replaced no questions asked and fast.

x2  thats the one i chose to get after reading a boat load of reviews on all the different ones out there. the only thing is that i didnt get it because i chose to get a marcum instead. but next year i'll definetly have fatfish double. i have a 4 man hub, kill zone brand now. its ok but wouldent recomend it, the windows dont fit for crap in it. i guess thats its only flaw that i've found.

X2 on the ice cube! Had mine for 6 or 7 years now, only problem I've had was I had to replace one of the fiberglass rods after it snapped out of the hub.

I got the eskimo 949i and it is warm, light and took some strong winds already. I was impressed and will be very satisfied if it performs as well as my eskimo auger has long term

I got the 6X8 hub from the big store in Scarborough for $199.  (Their store brand).  I have used it 5 times so far this season, and I really like it.  I imagine they are all pretty similar. I did snap a clip on mine when I tried "hossing" it the first time I put it up.  The hubs need a little finesse, but only take a minute to set up.  It does sweat a little with a bunch of people in it and the Buddy heater cranking.

Just tried out my new shapell 6000 on monday!  Yes its Awesome! ;D  Easy to set up take down, plenty of room and easy to pack in the jet sled. What sold it is its 600 denier fabric, heavy..I do recomend putting something under each foot section so it dont freeze in the ice.. And keeping the bottom zippers zipped up a foot so they dont freeze.

Just picked up the clam 2000 on sale for $191. Set it up in the garage and it looks pretty good. 4x6 with a carpeted floor with a couple covered holes and I can stand up inside it. Looks like it should be pretty easy to heat. Should hold 2 people jigging or 4 people with the holes covered in a pinch. It's pretty easy to setup, but looks like it will be awkward to haul. Went with this one because I wanted something with a floor.
