Title: carbon rod blanks

anyone out there use carbon rod blanks? is there any benefit over graphite? Also is there any benefit to a 30 or 36 inch ice rod for panfishing?

I think carbon and graphite rods are the same, not sure, but the people in the Jigging Forum would know more about the subject.
