Awesome pics.  Damn I'm envious of the wildlife.  Lotsa birds here in the Ottawa area but rarely an eagle.  Especially a "less-than-shy" one like that!

Nice pics from the great white north. Your bird beats the seagull that tried to steal my bluegills the other day.

Great photos, nice burbot...a few trout thrown into the mix too.  My wife spent part of her childhood in Prince George...she still has an aunt & uncle there...we used to stop in on the way to Terrace, but nobody is there any more.  Beautiful country.

Its called icefishing heaven thriller. If you come thru PG area next time, drop us a line and we could take you to local hotspots. We don't have pike, bass, perch, or big walleyes like you catch though. Lots of trout, lakers, and burbot. If we travel north 3.5 hrs to Chetwynd area, then we get into the not availables around here.

Is that a toilet seat I'm seeing in the upper right corner of the 3rd pic????  Looks like you made yourself a ready to use potty or something!!!  No offense intended of course - I just had to find out what it was!

Oh and yes - those pictures are AWESOME.  That eagle is gorgeous and I wish I could just get a chance to be that close for a pic some day... absolutely beautiful!!  ;D

Here are some more pics from Canada ( Cobb Lake ) I Don't have any pictures but one time some friends & I had a Eagle follow us around the lake for about 1hr. I think it could see the fish hanging out the side of the boat. We put the fish at the bow of the boat and satdown at the back end. One of my little friends didn't believe the eagle would come down to take a closer look, He didn't move to the back of the boat. The Eagle left the tree top and started a approach towards the boat. I sat down camera ready, and told my little friend HERE IT COMES, , , He replied YA RIGHT! We couldn't do anything but laugh quietly, , as to not scare the Eagle approaching. The Eagle came within about 15 feet of our boat claws ready to snatch the fish at the bow. My little friend with his cocky smerk, , , not wanting to be fooled by us, , , seen the wide open EYES :o  :o  :o and decided to look over his shoulder. Holly crap! ! ! he crawled along the bottom of the boat bumbling over the seats like a scared little mouse. The eagle was startled by my bumbling little friend and veered off 15ish short of the boat. With all the excitment I forgot to account for the three second delay on my digital camera. next time I'll take a video clip. sorry guys

Nice Photos Whiskey! They are incredible birds, my son and I were watching some hanging around down by the lake last week... so I pull out my video camera because he's just up about 40' above us and out in front. I'm looking through the eye piece and I say "oh cool he's going to take off and fly for my video clip"...... Nope he bends over, his tail points straight north and lets one fly .... I mean he pushed that stream about 4-5' behind him...looks through his legs (checking to see if he was done or if he got any on himself) If was quite comical, come to think of it I believe it was about the first of the month (American joke).

We were hooking into Kokanee, and the accasional Burbot out of this spot. The Eagle is said to be a regular in that area.
