Believe it or not I was out today and got all four trout species. This is the first time I have ever caught all four through the ice in the same day. three of the four were caught jigging. the other on a tip up. I Caught a brown trout, 3 rainbows, and lake trout jigging. I got the brookie on the tip up as well as a brown. None of them were under 16 inches in length. I also had three break offs jigging, guess i should use more than 1# line.

PS A golden trout would of been a super slam. they dont count though.

the brookie was on a tip-up with a shiner on it set half way to the bottom in 10 ft. all the others were caught jigging with 1# test line. the rainbow took a chartruse fatboy jig with two waxworms. the brown took the same jig with a fathead on it and the laker took a gold jig with a fathead.

Nice thanks for the info, we are going for slabber perch this weekend on Sodus but want to hit hemlock Lake next for some trout and this would be our first attempt at trout sounds like the same setup we are already using

the trout in the 1st pic, 3rd pic, and last pic are gorgeous.
haha i dont care if they are considered "small" or something, but id mount em.

I went out again today and did it again, except the brown is the only one that i got on a tip-up. All i got was one of each. They only thing that went bad today was that i pushed the wrong button after the brookie picture and it did not save. He was not that big anyway, probably only 14 inches or so and really skinny.

the catfish my dad caught.

the amount of line that the cat took off. the person on the near side of the pond is my dad at one end of the line and the person on the other end in the back right of the pond is his girlfriend at the other end of the line.
