His personal history says he is from Winnepeg Manitoba. So I'm sure its somewhere in the great white Canadian north.

YAY Coyote. Welcome to Iceshanty.

Thanks to all. Fish were caught in S.E. Manitoba, Canada. We used tip-ups and homemade quickstrike rigs baited with 8"-10" herring in about 20 ft. of water.

Beautiful fish they all have real great flawless color where abouts did you catch them.... I think i should fish with you guys more often never have caught a pike open water or through the ice ... tryed chauncy a few times never any luck must be fishing in the wrong spots or it's just me nice fish though

hey tip up was that a misprint about the 20 FOW.I live in saskatchewan right next door and we get our big pike in 2 FOW with the same fishin methods as you.we fish the famed lk deifenbaker.home of the 30lb rainbows.in fact i just heard at tobin lk this year two 32lb pike have been taken.is that awesome or what!giant lk=giant fish

Way to go tipup. We should trade a trip or two. If you are ever interested in hunting Elk in Wyoming or fishing Ft. Peck Montana, look me up. I would love to give Canada a try.

Thems freakin huge. I've been using the same set up and depth and the best I could come up with was a 33" and a bunch of big burbot. Just got to keep tryin. I think middle of the lake might be slowin down as they all start heading for the rivers, or am I wrong?
