you can most likely force another weekend out of it with a plank, but i think i'm done.  been on ice since december 10. 3 months is great for NJ, i'm ready to cast again  :)

Where you go fishing tomorrow. How is the ice condition on hopatcong lake? anybody has information on that.

I wouldn't trust ice on hopactong.Way way.Didnt measure Yesterday but Fri there was 12".It was still over 10 yesterday.

If the ice starts getting pouruse or rotton , 10 inches can be unsafe. End of season ice can be very tricky & deceiving. Especially on that lake

 I've got a little experience lol thanks for advice..Temp didn't go over 40 yesterday gonna be in twenties tonight.Big temp difference there always has been.

Been fishing there since 1965 , ice is very different there.

I was done after last Saturday....ready for open water.  Rain and high temps rot the ice, not worth the risk IMO

8-9"solid on way way with 2"of white crap snow ice on top.Im pretty sure tomorrow is good there but it's going fast.After this weekend anyone's guess.Im gonna have to go to house upstate still over 2' of ice.Not ready to quit.
