Anyone know whats going on down there at the moment? My mother just called and said there is a couple fire trucks and an ambulance down there right now with the backboard out. Hopefully no one went through but being it's been slick maybe someone fell and needed assistance.

might head out there later for the afternoon/early night bite... any good spots for crappie? seems to me that the bottom is pretty much the same wherever you fish there..

Been to the SBH a few times this season. Each time, I have been able to get into gills, perch and LMB but have not gotten into any crappie.

Will be heading out tomorrow morning. Should be less windy then last Sunday when the wind was HOWLING!  :'(

Was there last night 5:30PM to 9PM

ALL SMELT!!!!!

They should change the name to Smelt Bait Harbor!!!

I saw something weird:

As I was leaving (9PM), about 8 people ran out on the ice under the pier with weird LED (multi colored) lights and went out the exit toward freezer queen and then made a left all the way out passed the wall.  I thought it was search and rescue.  I did not see any gear with them, looked weird.  Did not look normal to me, any ideas???  Looks like they were on a mission or something, did not look safe at all.

could have been the coast guard I was up in the city of tonawanda over the summer in isleview park and there were a crew of coasties that were in a big white dually crew cab pickup.
