Thanks! I was fishing for trout with the light jig stick with 6 pound test. The fish was hooked in some real tough skin on the upper lip. I got lucky. It almost spooled the reel on the first run.

that big crappie of sawerjosh's did not even place. that fish is easily bigger than 15.5. the tail is at about the .5 inch mark and the nose is atleast at the 16+ inch mark.

It starts at the 3/4 mark and I gave him 16" on the other end, which is pushing it. That would give him 15.25, which ties whats already on the board. He posted it to get on the Trophy board.
It may look like it's bigger, but you have consider the angle of the tape too.

Ya- it was about 15 1/4" although I'll tell ya, when it came out of the hole it looked about 18"! It was a kinda crappy picture, I usually try to get better pics, but it was snowing to beat the band and my wife would kill me if I got her camera wet! It was my first crappie out of a pond I have heard rumored to have them and have been fishing the crap out of it all winter trying to find them. We iced 5 that day all 11+"
