Local retailer for Frostbite lures
« on: Jan 17, 2024, 04:54 PM »
Any of you guys know of a Montana retailer or bait & tackle shop that stocks Frostbite lures? Would like to pick up a couple DinnerBells and Tantrum lures to give them a try. I know they are available online, but I am not sure I can have them shipped in time for an upcoming trip. Thanks.

Not certain but if anyone does it would be Snappys in Kali.

Thanks missoulafish! I will have to give them a call and see. A buddy suggested Scheels in Great Falls, but they aren't listing any on their website.

I went through this a while back and think the only place you can really get them is direct on their website.

Yeah pretty sure the only way is to order. They're pretty good with shipping, but you gotta plan ahead. I use their stuff almost exclusively now.

Scheels is always worth a try. Or any large retailer thats close to you. Or you could just fish swedish pimples and chubby darters for the same result  ;)
The ice is always safe. The question is, are you?

I drove to MiZooLA on Saturday and stopped at Scheels. They ain't got Frosbite lures.

* I also checked Sportsman's Warehouse with no success.

Thanks Pyro

Yer welcome. I too was hopin to get some Frostbite lures somewhat locally, with no success. If I had the mind to do so, I'd become a dealer! Their lures really work very well.

Capt, I haven't had great luck in the past with Swede's, and am not familiar with the Chubby Darter. Will have to look them up. Usually just stick with Hali's but thought I would give the Dinner Bells a try.

For what it's worth, I too have killer success with Swedish Pimples and Chubby Darters.  The Acme Hyper Rattles and rattle CastMasters also live on the top drawer of my box, as they both perform extremely well.

I don't think they currently carry them (haven't seen when I've gone through anyways) but Capital Sports in Helena carries some of the smaller scale brands. If enough of us ask them for that brand then maybe they'd start carrying them.

I need to get some more cut bait as well, so I'll  probably  be in there tomorrow  or friday and can ask too.

Silos used to have a pretty good ice assortment, might be worth your time to call them.
