Wow, looks like the WP fish aren't the only ones with lockjaw! Anybody make it out lately?

Lol I haven't heard of a decent Crappie bite yet this year. Looks like a Perch and walleye game. I've only been once.

Ya, seems to be. I was referring to the WP fishermen though. Pretty tight lipped this weekend. Lol

Gate was closed yesterday. Evening bite was ok until 8 pm, then headed home. Haven't found good crappie bite yet. I'll check gate tomorrow.

I'm just hoping the shore ice holds up by the gate so I can get my wife out Thursday morning for her first walleye

certainly not making ice, but not losing a lot.  Yesterday there were guys out with snow mobiles on ice.  I checked and gate was closed still.  I'll check again today....I like checking because it gives me the excuse to go jig for 2 hours after work.  Caught 3 crappie yesterday from 3:45-5...all shorts though.

I wouldn't worry as much about losing ice as I would  about the ice floating as the water comes up and losing the shore ice like we did a couple weeks ago. Water is going to be all stirred up again too   :'(

I got out both days of weekend. Had pretty good luck both days. Got some nice walleye and even got my first keeper crappie of season. Was wondering if I'd ever get one of those this year.  ;D

This one made it worth dealing with the wind on Saturday afternoon. It's my second crappie over 16 inches this season.

Was out on the pond from 7-11 yesterday. Had 12 flags, iced 10. Mostly dink eyes but a few just under 18”. No keepers. Was a gorgeous morning, though!

There's a gate at end of Keible road for the dirt road that runs along West side of lake. It's controlled by the Army Corps. They usually close it when reservoir level goes up. It's never usually closed for this long until now.
