Stinger Hooks
« on: Mar 07, 2007, 06:25 PM »
This past weekend i went walleye fishing and had a lot of short strikes on minnows on the bottom treble of a jigging rapala, but when i tied on a stinger it kept getting tangled and the fish would not hit because i think it killed the action of the minnow.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Switch to a northland fireball jig if you plan to use a stinger hook.

Use a small piece of power bait behind the minnow it will be harder to rob and it has a flavor

Calvin, can you shorten the shank/lead on the bottom treble hook?
