Has anyone been out on Pop squash ? Just wondering if it's safe yet and are the yellows biting

Just iced a few days ago. Looks sketchy. May try in a few days though.

Thanks for the update. I love to fish there but may give it some more time. With this weather it shouldn’t be much longer.

I can still see wet spots around the island. I  think in a few days it will be much better.

There was a group fishing just south of it today when I drove by.

Thanks for the update. My son is chomping at the bit to get out. We will probably give Pop Squash a few more days to thicken up and try in front of the bay park. Sounds like plenty of ice and people are having some success. Can't wait to get out there for the first time myself

5-6" of black ice out to the 18' depth towards squatch. Around the island doesnt look safe. Pressure crack covered by snow once you get beyond 18'  Didnt risk going near it.

Any action out there ? Sounds like to is safe enough as long as you stay away from the island.

Half pail of medium yellows. They are moving fast. Chased them for the 3 hours I was out there.

Cohen state park in Swanton. Head out of the bay towards Swanton along the lake just past the Sportsman club
