Young & Bixby Islands

Has anyone fished around Yound and Bixby Islands?  I'm looking to try and get into some lakers, salmon, and eyes.  I've pretty much only been a perch jerker, and pike flag chaser but looking to try some different things this winter if good waters freeze up (fingers crossed).  I'm not looking for any "secret spots" or anything.  Just casually asking if anyone has fished out there for these, and had any luck, or know of a good spot to get on the lake north of the valentine boat access?

I don't have an access thats why I asked if someone knows about one   I know the valentine boat launch is about 1.3mi from it, but thats a little bit of a hike, I'd do it if I had to, but being closer would be nice
