First ice big lakes
« on: Dec 17, 2012, 08:17 AM »
Ok the big lakes by me have been iced over since last Tuesday, and the forecast is looking good some nice cold lows this week and not getting above freezing during the day. Let the real walleye fishing begin. I'm going out after work Wed. and set some tip ups should be able to fish from 4 - 6:30 pm  a nice 3,000 acre lake with good walleye, I only need to go out to the first drop off about 50 feet off shore.

Lac Courte Oriellies, Grindstone, Round, Sand, Stone, Sissabagama, in Sawyer county. All should have fishable ice by Saturday. They do right now near shore and in bays.
