With the temp of 32 today it gets the blood just to boil! This is bad I'm ready to start fishing frozen mud puddles. Anyone else have the itch as bad? I cant even fill my time anymore getting all my stuff ready it already set to rock. When Im out bow hunting I'm still thinking about the first lake to hit.

30 days? I think that's a bit wishful thinking.....

Granted you're further north than I am, but I don't expect walkable ice until gun deer season at the earliest, probably not until first week of december.....

Deer season is about the right time for me here to on a few of the inland lakes "small lakes" Im just grinding waiting to go put the hammer on a few slabs for the ice season.

The walleye fishing, good inside the Cheq Bay not a ton of #'s but the fish you catch are bigger they stocked some more this year we wont be catching them for size for a few years. They also stocked some more browns in as well little football's. Out around the islands I am out chaseing trout and whitefish.

I was out on the friday before deer season last year. It is possible. Definitely hope so!!!!!!!!

I hope so to no more warm weather the temps in the 40's and 50's not likeing it at all but the low's are still in the 30's at night I dont think we are far off now.

Oct 31-nov2 overnight lows forcasted low to mid 20's and a couple days maybe teens in my area!

I already have the fever!!!! Sent in my auger blades for exchange from StrikeMaster, waxed the bottom of my Clam and ordered a new perch rod. Had an "ice over" on my pond this morning. Still have wood to cut for this winter , but I still can't wait.

Looking at the last long range forecast they are talking nice and cold by mid month. Down in the teens for lows. Ice will be coming fast.

Looking at the last long range forcast, not a good deal. Above average temps, not what I want to see. Looks to be past deer season before real cold temps. Of course that keeps changing and I hope it changes to real cold real quick.

It looks horrible right now... Last year we had a 77 degree day on the 3rd but then it dropped down to the 30s real quick. It should still get cold but I will say I won't see ice until December. I hit the ice for the first time Dec 1st last year and there was 3-4 inches of ice.

You guys are all fired for bringing this warm weather hex upon us! Stop talking about how it's gonna get cold...talk about how global warming is in full effect and there won't even be walkable ice this year. If we do that then when you step outside you just hear a crashing sound of all the lakes slamming shut with ice! Kind of like if you sit and stare at a tipup all day talking about the fish you're going to catch on it, there won't be one flag all day! If you set it then turn your back for 5 minutes and talk about how much you miss Brett Favre you'll get flags all day
