After spending the two nights of Sebago out on the ice I will not be doing that again unless I build a hard shack suitable with enough space to sprawl out and be comfortable.

Just got back, just let me say if is d**n cold out! We had to cut it short tonight due to the 1 degree weather but our theory about bigger fish at night was true. The fishing was slow and the fish were difficult to catch but I ended up catching 2 14+ inch crappie tonight. These are the biggest I have ever caught. The fish were skittish, take a quick nip at the bait and then screwing right to the bottom. These fish fought well and are pretty good looking too. I enjoyed fishing at night but am going to wait until it is a bit warmer at night to do it again.

Hahaha our honeyholes were the same all along! When we got there I laughed.

Nice Crappie ! Night fishing without a doubt is different. 10 degrees at night feels colder than 10 during the day. I tried an all nighter alone once. I worried all night about getting flattened by a snowmobile. While the yukon is roomy, it still isnt big enough to sleep comfortably. Well, Even though you didnt catch many crappie you will remember your outing for many years to come.
