Meal time flags??
« on: Mar 03, 2015, 04:56 AM »
we use a little charcoal grill on the ice. For whatever reason we allways get a flag while we are cooking. We even went so far as to eat a different times and it never fails boom game on. Does this meal time flag phenomenon happen to anyone else????

Good thing it doesn't work for me. I'd get way too fat from eating all day.

yes, happens quite often, accidentally. if i get out a sammy to deliberately bring fish, nothing. if i just grab one cause i,m hungry, lots of times. not only flags, open water in boat. oh, and i,ve lost 2 nice bucks cause they caught me with my ppants down. literally. lol wire

Always happens to me. Pour that hot chili out of the thermos & flag up. Never fails.

That's just a side clause of the rule that says " the phone will ring just after you get comfortable in the john."

It holds true for hunting as well, especially waterfowling. Doughnuts and a duck/goose call don't mix well

NEVER FAILS! Every time I go to do something the action gets started and usually stops just as fast.  :o I wonder if the game we are after "spy" on us and "attack" when we are at the most vulnerable.....

For me, it is whenever I walk outside the shack to take a leak, I usually get a bite on my deadstick that my friend gets to reel up since I am outside relieving myself.  Now I try to hold it until the bite is over.

I would have to agree. It never seems for fail. Slow for an hour and soon as we bust out the food, there it is.

Yes  cooking and bathroom break. Cat fishing in the summer and deer season. Caught my biggest cat taking a leak. Shot 8pt last fall with my zipper down! Flags go up as soon as the food is ready! They know
