Did anyone have any problems starting their ATV's on cold mornings the past seasons
Do you use a engine oil heater
Any tricks for cold weather starts

Get a battery tender it won't over charge the battery and this will help it start ifm you are home. Just make sure you have plenty of good gas and use the choke to get it started and try to keep a fast idle for awhil don't over rev it just a little above idle will also help.
it depends on how old your machine is the newer ones have pollution controls that make them cold blooded and a little harder to start. You should also run a cold weather plug usually the next hotter plug and change it back in the spring. Another thing is run a lighter oil check your manual or dealer they can let you know what is safe to use. Lighter oil makes a big difference I have a friend that uses Amsoil and his machine runs fine.

mongo, is it a Honda?
If it is in addition to the choke there is a primer pump tucked under the seat by the carb and when its real cold give it about two or three pushes then choke it.

I have a 2002 polaris 400. I took the battery inside at night and replaced it in the morning.
Had no problems starting it using this method. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

Are you talking about a weak battery or just hard to fire?? If it is really cold-blooded, you may want to consider re-jetting. I had a 600 Polaris that was extremely cold blooded....if I still had it I would definately re-jet for the winter...I now have the EFI so it is not a problem!!

I think its on at least 2000 and newer. We have a Rancher, but some guys at work have Foreman with the same thing.
