just a board about 1/2 x 3 about 16 inches long. notched on both ends with a vee for winding in the squiding line then a notch on both sides in the center to wrap the line so it hangs in the center of the ice hole. i think the nh book still says 1 ounce weight but thats illegal per the general rules, use a weight thats 1.125 ounces (aj's tackle used to sell them slightly over sized). then a leader and hook, check the leader lenght, its either 6 inches or 12 max, dont remember. paint them brite, they get lost in the snow, and make them cheap, they get stolen, run over etc.  name and address on trap.

I found some info on set rigs from the good folks in Alaska. ------> http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=anglereducation.burbot (http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=anglereducation.burbot).

The 2 videos on the page are informative as well. :)
