1/14 and 1/15 trip

so me and my buddy wisicefishinut went out to our shacks this weekend and he caught to cohoe's. Between both us though we slaid the smelt like crazy so it kept us busy and we used them for bait so it was good catching bait!!!!
first cohoe on 1/14

2nd cohoe on 1/15

What lake did you catch these cohos on. The only place I have caught cohos is Lake Ontario.

lake superior pretty fun it was about 30 ft deep where our shacks are and we caught them about 5 feet below the ice

Coho are the best eating fish around. The only way to do them is baked or broiled, really. I fish Superior alot, where are you fun ldebriyn? I'm from Marquette.

Like killitngrillit said, cohoes are awesome eatng fish. We fish out of Ahland on Cheqamagon (sp) bay and when safe, out into the apostles.  I will be eating these fish tonight, and we will be baking them.  Can't wait for supper!

Coho ar my absolute fav.... I got a bunch out of Oak Orchard Creek ... lake Ontario this spring and i gotts say that they were the best eating trout/salmon I have ever had.... I baked them, and fried them in olive oil, garlic and live basil with a gorgonzola cheeze gravy.  You gotta try that! ::)
