Any recent reports at Cooney? I gave it a go for a couple hours in the evening last Saturday with only a couple light hits. Fished off of fishermans point and might try again this weekend.

tried to fish it on tuesday.  Couldn't make it to the reservoir, roads drifted in.  And the 8 miles of ice from 310 to the lake....that was extra special fun.........

For me this year no, nothing to brag about at least. Last winter my biggest ling was a 27 incher(still the longest one I've ever caught) out of around 10 is all and that was before the first of the year. All came in water from 8 to 12 feet up in the Willow Creek Area. We do catch a few rainbows most of the time, but we set up in one spot and play the waiting game all day.

Went out last week and caught two small ling....only fished for a couple hours starting right at dusk.  Caught them both right away then nothing else.  Went out last night (Tuesday) for about the same amount of time and only had one bite but didn't land it.

No luck today for anyone I talked to on the lake. We had out twenty poles and got skunked like everyone else. Thursday got a huge male rainbow and three ling all smaller then a foot. Going to try north shore or private dock tomorrow before the games. Seen a lot of fish at the bottom but few bites. Tried everything and then some. Kids had a blast so it was still a great day fishing.

Fisherman's point huh?  Have never tried there for ling.  I always go to the bay close to the dam.  What depth were you at?  Ya, they should start running next few weeks.  Going out tonight to try.  Will report.
