Slammer Perch from late ice a few years ago.
Largest was at 2 Lbs. 5 Oz.
All perch were 13" and larger.

Man those HUGE! My biggest is 1.78lbs, and thats usually a once a winter thing, if that..

No, one of the guys I fish with has one mounted that is 16 1/8". I will have to beat that before I get one mounted.
I have tied the state record on three different occasions. You have to beat the current record by 1 Oz.

Wow!!! That is amazing! I feel ashamed of my 13 3/4 that I have mounted but thats mounted for the fact it was my first time ever throwing a spear. Well, needless to say I'm jealous.

It's a large public lake. I would tell you the name, but then I would have to kill you! ;D
I also fish a few private lakes that have slammer perch, but not the #s that the public lake perduce.

Those are some nice perch they look prehistoric those fish have been around a while ;D. Do you throw some of those back? Their holding allot of eggs that lake must have quite a few perch in it :thumbsup: :flex:

I have been fishing this fishery for 25 years. I take what my family and my parents will eat. I have not seen a decline in numbers or size over the years. The only time this lake gets fishing pressure for the perch is spring and ice season. Lots of people that fish this lake do not have a clue as to how the lake works. It has changed over the years due to alewives. There are areas on this lake in the spring that you can catch nothing but 3"-5" perch, they reproduce well.
