Post by: SirCranksalot on Sep 10, 2019, 07:55 PM
Hi folks---winter will be here before you know it. I am looking for a Ridgid batt for my 18V hammer drill, There are Lithium, Hyper Lithium, and Hyper Octane. What's the real diff in terms of riunning time(number of holes}? How much is real and how much is advert hype?

thx

yes the 9 amp octane battery works best with the octane drill. i tested prior batteries to see if it mattered and it does. drill cuts out with anything other than the 9amp octane and running a new strike master 8" bit.

recommend the 9 amp octane with charger kit so the battery will be able to qualify for their lsa. buying a battery outside of kit form disqualifies it from a lsa and carries a 3 year warranty like all the other brands.
